Grad2Grad Tuition Discount
Current undergraduate students at the George Washington University (GW) may be eligible and interested to participate in the Grad2Grad program to continue graduate study (one master's degree program or graduate certificate program) at GW. Not only can you apply to a variety of GW graduate programs, but you will also receive a 10% reduction in the cost of your tuition.
Eligibility Requirements
- Recent* graduate of a GW bachelor's degree program
- Acceptance and enrollment in an eligible GW master's degree program or graduate certificate (eligible programs listed below)
- Please refer to the lists below to determine which formats (in person and/or online) of each program are eligible
- Continuous enrollment for all semesters until the master's degree or graduate certificate is earned (summer registration is allowed, but not required)
Ineligibility and Exception Policy:
All university awards - including the Grad2Grad discount - cannot be accepted in conjunction with the GW tuition remission benefit available to qualified employees at the George Washington University, GW Medical Faculty Associates, and Children's National Hospital employees. Exceptions may be granted to students who meet eligibility for need-based awards as determined by the Office of Student Financial Assistance.

- Applying for an Exception
Tuition remission benefits-eligible employees interested in receiving a Grad2Grad program discount must:
- Apply to the Grad2Grad program using the application process listed below and check the “requesting an exception” box.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the academic year they would like to receive the Grad2Grad program discount.
- Send an email message to Tony Sutphin at [email protected] and copy [email protected] with the subject line “Grad2Grad Exception”.
Students who have been awarded full tuition fellowships for graduate study are not eligible for the Grad2Grad Program.
The Grad2Grad program discount is included in GW School of Business's special grants.
*The George Washington University defines a "recent graduate" with the following deadlines for graduate enrollment:

Application Process
Step 1: Once you find a program of interest, apply for admission as you normally would. If you have questions, contact the school you are applying to.
Step 2: When you are accepted, complete and submit the Grad2Grad Fellowship Enrollment Application.
Your application must be received by a certain deadline, depending on your first semester as a graduate student.

Step 3: Register for courses in your program. Your award will be applied to your account and will reduce your tuition by 10%. Please note that this price reduction does not apply to matriculation, orientation, and course fees.
