Boren Awards Information Session

Are you interested in learning a critical language? Pursuing a career in federal service? Completing research or an internship aboard?

You may be interested in the Boren Awards Program! Boren Scholars (undergraduate students) and Boren Fellows (graduate students) receive up to $30,000 to pursue language study, research or internships abroad. Boren Awards fund study in Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Join the Office of Graduate Student Assistantships and Fellowships (OGSAF) and the Center for Undergraduate Fellowships and Research (CUFR) for an information session to learn more about the Boren Award Programs.

All Boren Awards applicants must be:

  • U.S. citizens at the time of the national application deadline.
  • Planning an overseas program in a country outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
  • Planning to study in a country of which they are not a citizen.
  • Matriculated for the duration of their Boren Awards-funded program in an undergraduate or graduate degree program located within the United States and accredited by a body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
